Re: Promote audience engagement with PackFlash Comments and Ratings module for DotNetNuke - part 2/2 - Video #323

Will this comments module write data to the social journal in the future?

BTW, Awesome job on this site with the videos and articles.

Thx,
Ash

Thanks for your nice words Ash!

It is hard for me to say that, as I'm not the module vendor, but I can tell that PackFlash is very proactive in keeping up with the latest and greatest of DNN, so I would assume it will.

Cheers,
Aderson

Thanks for the quick response.

One of the issues, we are having is try to choose between different modules. It would be great if DNN had some sort of logo program, where modules in the program had to meet certain criteria for each version of DNN.

Maybe DNN Hero can create a certification program for modules and skins to ensure that they are using the latest features and correctly.

For example, there are lots of old styles skins and modules that use tables instead of CSS for styling. Don't work with Taxonomy, etc. It's hard for customers to figure that out.

Continue the good work :-)

Thx,
Ash

Hi Ash,

Thanks for your suggestion! I understand how hard it is to pick the right module. Yes I remember that DNN used to have that, but they shut down that initiative. We have been considering that for a while now but I'm not sure if we will move forward.

In any case we have started something geared towards that, but not in-depth. It is our weekly review of modules and skins. You can find them at www.dnnhero.com/Modules.aspx and www.dnnhero.com/Skins.aspx

There you will see a short blurb about our thoughts on that module or skin.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers,
Aderson
