You are awesome to take the time to explain this topic. I have been struggling with how to bring a DNN installation to the root folder on GoDaddy. I have had all kinds of bad advice from their tech support. It wasn't until I talked with the Accord LMS module folks that they gave me links to your videos. Thank you so much!!!

Great to be of help Ben!

The next frontier now is to be able to move an existing DNN site to Godaddy. I'm fighting with that now.

Site settings is no longer available in dnn 6.1.2 - How does one add portal aliases?

Hi Michael,

Yes it is available:

1 - Login is as superuser;
2 - Go to "Admin" at the top left;
3 - Click "Site Settings";
4 - Click "Advanced Settings" tab;
5 - Expand the "Site Aliases" section;

Cheers,

Re: Godaddy and DotNetNuke - Run it from the root - part 2 of 2 - Video #223

Aderson - I had to take the site down due to an update error which basically crashed the site, and had lots of problems with goDaddy. So I redid the installation from their side, then did the move to the root folder...now I am getting this error Site Settings is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Service.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException:Access to the pathD:\Hosting\8892119\html\web.config' is denied. --> more

I have this in a PDF- I need some assistance to know what happened and how this can be corrected?

Hi Michael,

I have noticed a lot of inconsistency on GoDaddy - Different people will experience different issues even when they did all steps correct.

I can have a look ig you send me the access to the site, but I can't promise I will be able to solve it.

Cheers,
Aderson
