Hi

In the video about EasyDNNMailChimp you do not explain why the standard embedded Mailchimp form does not work

I added the embedded code from Mailchimp to a Text/HTML module, and because it contains scripting DNN (bless its little cotton socks) cleans the code and therefore you only get the form and no functionality when you go back.

So I went for the standard work around, pasting the "scripted" code into the module Header (or Footer) the form is displayed but still no data received from the form. A revisit to the Header shows the code fully intact :-)

Do you know what it is in DNN that prevents the form content being posted to Mailchimp?

I went for the 2nd work around, uploaded an HTML page through FTP

You can see the non-working form on this page http://ferndownspeakers.org.uk/contact-us/mailchimp.aspx

and a link at the bottom of it that takes you to the HMTL page

I'm guessing a permanent link in the PAGE setting could direct the user immediately

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave,

The problem is that the mailchimp script code has a FORM tag on it. This will not work on DNN as it has it's own FORM tag enveloping the entire page, and you cannot have a FORM tag inside another one.

That is why. The alternative is using a module like EasyDNNMailChimp or doing your own coding to integrate with Mailchimp API.

Best regards,

Aderson
