Hi,

 I'm trying to setup my desktop as DNN development environment. I have downloaded DNN new install 7.0.6 and also installed SQL express downloaded from MS online. Followed all the steps as per video tutorial by creating new DB, adding IIS_USR to full control etc.

Im using Windows 7, 64 bit OS. I have installed MS Visual Studio 2013 with framework 4.5.1. When i try to access the DNN site for first time installation im getting error as "Unable to find the requested .Net Framework Data Provider. It may not be installed."

Not done any change in web.config of new DNN install. I googled online but could not find any solution related to DNN.

Can you please advice on resolving this issue?

Hi Aderson,

Since i use Visual Studio 2013; .Net framework 4.5 was installed with it. Now i can not installed older version of framework 4.0 since already higher version is available. Would this be due to VS 2013 and compatible with DNN? Have anyone tried VS 2013 with DNN?

Thank you, this fixed the error. I installed 4.0 and now the i was able to install DNN site.
