Aderson:

This video looks close to what I want<

http://www.dnnhero.com/Premium/Tutorial/ArticleID/207/The-MultiView-Technique-for-Keeping-View-Navigating-on-Same-Page-in-DNN-Part-4-6

I fixed the zip file and tried to installed in two places & get the same error.

A critical error has occurred. Please check the Event Viewer for further details.

The url goes to:

http://dnndev.me/Default.aspx?tabid=36&error=Could+not+find+file+%27C%3a%5cWebsites%5cdnndev.me%5cInstall%5cTemp%5cq2yo424x%5cLicense.txt%27.

I checked the zip & License.txt exists & is 722 bytes

Nothing stands out in Event Viewer

Hi Lee,

Not sure what this is. Maybe this can help.

Cheers,

I unzip then installed zip at

D:\TempLee\DotNetNuclear.ViewsTutorial\install\ViewsTutorial_00.00.01_Source.zip

I can add the module but it does not look the video. changed to multi like video has at 1:40 & with no data entered as user drop down has nothing.

But the solution will not load. display ViewsTutorial (load failed)

The link answer has 'found that when I was zipping the files, the zipping process added an extra top-level directory.'

You have control of the zip, not me.

Lee,

The zip file attached to that tutorial is not a DNN install package.   You want to unzip the file into the DesktopModules folder.  Open Visual Studio as an administrator and build the project.  See the instructions on the video:

1 - Setup your DNN 7 site with host name dnndev.me;
2 - Download the zip file;
3 - Unzip the project folder (DotNetNuclear.ViewsTutorial) under the \DesktopModules folder;
4 - Open Visual Studio 2012 as an Administrator and open the project;
5 - Build project in Release mode;
6 - Install the *_Install package in Host > Extensions;
7 - Create a test page and drop an instance of the module on the page;
