I have 2 sites running on the same server that need SSL certificates.  IIS won't let me use port 443 for both and I can't figure out how to make DNN use a different port for SSL.  I have the certificate installed and I have configured IIS to run https on 4436.

This didn't work right out the box.  I messed around with some DNN settings in the admin area and got things to a state where the pages were redirecting to the https but the page was not found.  On the homepage and login page this turned into a redirect error (probably an endless redirect loop).

What do I need to configure to get DNN to use 4436 for SSL?

 Thanks

Hi Andy,

I have never tried that so I cannot talk first hand. But I did need to have 2 sites on the same server using SSL and I had to have a second IP address for that site. This was the solution I give to my problem which seems similar to your. I also see the same recommendation from this post thread: Multiple SSL Certs on Different Portals.

If you want to further explore having a different SSL port, I suggest you to try Admin / Site Settings / Advanced Settings / SSL Settings / SSL URL - I know that is used to customize the location of your SSL URL when using a shared SSL, but I think you can use it as well to specify a different port number on your SSL URL too. Wroth a try.

Good luck!

Aderson
