DotNetNuke Modules and Skins Review | May 31, 2012 - June 07, 2012

This week there was no new amazing module to talk about, but there was a minor update of an old great module. I'm talking about DNNBackup 6.4.2 from Evotiva. I highly recommend this module. I cannot reinforce enough the need to backup your DNN sites before doing things like installing a new module or upgrading, or even just for the purpose of having a full backup of your site in case something happens. This is a great module to automate your backup. It is also VERY useful in cases where you need to move your site from one hosting provider to another. With the features of backing up to Amazon, FTP or even DropBox, this is a "must have" module.

From a skin point of view Motive-DarkCyan Skin caught my attention because of its great web 2.0 (or 3.0) modern look and feel. This is 1 color of the 15 that comes in the full package. There are two styles of menu and it brings a very nice looking slide banner. The skin has 2 or 3 tables, but it is forgiven based on the fact that it has great design.
