Complexity Level: 4 - I'm almost a pro! This video will show how to change the events module layout in DotNetNuke to another predefined layout that comes with the module. It will also attempt to show how to setup your own layout, but that didn't work out that well.

Re: How to change the layout of the Events Module - Video #93

Hi,
I use DotNetNuke Event Module. this one: dnnevents.codeplex.com/

If there are no events on the page, my page appears blank.

Can I have a note appear that state something like "There is no events now"?

Thanks,

Hi Bahareh,

I don't know of any option out-of-the-box that will accommodate the message unfortunately. But if this is a must, you could download the source code and make this change if you are familiar with module development for DNN.

Cheers,
Aderson

Re: How to change the layout of the Events Module - Video #93

Hi Aderson,

I'm looking for the Event module that can support my own database.
I mean, I wanna connect it to my own database.

I was wondering, if you know any thing?

Thanks,
Bahareh

Hi Bahareh,

How about you download the source code of the free events module (dnnevents.codeplex.com/) and use it to customize to your needs?

That's your best bet I think.

Cheers,
Aderson
