DotNetNuke Modules and Skins Review | June 07, 2012 - June 14, 2012

This week I will have to talk about PackFlash Constellation Suite 3.3 from PackFlash. This is a comprehensive set of modules combined to deliver a great publishing platform. To be honest, before I came to know this module better (actually the news module from this package) I have always asked myself why would people buy an article management module for DNN if you could manage pages with DNN out of the box. But very quickly I realized how troublesome it is to manage content from multiple authors by just using DotNetNuke alone. By using PackFlash News, and PackFlash Comments and Ratings as well, I saw how powerful they could be. With its template capabilities, I truly think it is the best publishing companion for DotNetNuke. You may or may not need the entire Constellation Suite, but at the very least you should give it a try on PackFlash News.

From a skin point of view, after bashing them a few times over the last few weeks, I was happily surprised with DNN6.15_B003.3_Mobile/PC Skin by DNNCow.com. Not only the design was very decent, but also the skin was well created with just a few minor TABLE sins. Most impressive was how well the skin behaved when viewed in a smart phone. It did look very nice. I love surprises like these!
