DotNetNuke Modules and Skins Review | June 21, 2012 - June 28, 2012

We have lots of happy faces this week in terms of modules. One that caught my attention was Facebook - Pay with a LIKE by speedyapplication.com. The idea is quite simple and it is a bit of a novelty (at least for me). The concept is that you need to like the page via the "like" button on the page itself, first before you are allowed to download something that you might be already offering for free (maybe a report, an ebook, a song!). This is great to help spreading the word about your product or service. This module is quite inexpensive. Maybe the seller should pump up the price! Price is not about how long it took you to build it, but how much value you are bringing to the table. This is great value in my opinion.

In terms of skins this week I will be choosing the one I would call an old friend. I'm referring to Stronghold Premium DNN Skin by WebSitesCreative. I love the skins from those guys. You may think I'm getting paid to promote them, but I'm not! It is all well-deserved. I have to admit that I actually use their skin structure quite a lot as a reference if I need to build a skin myself. It is so flexible and well-structured that one skin option will be able to accommodate any kind of page layout you may want.
